Question: Aren’t Christians supposed to be totally at peace in their lives? I know many Christians, and they worry about things all the time.
Answer: Peace is spoken about so often in the Bible that it’s not surprising it’s the message of many cards during the celebrations of Christmas and Easter. When the members of a family are Christians, God’s peace is the foundation of their home. Jesus said that the peace He gives your heart is not like the peace between countries of the world or the absence of problems in your life, but it’s a deep feeling of satisfaction in the minds of a believer.
My peace I give to you, but it’s not like the peace the world gives…

When a household welcomes the gospel message, God’s peace rests there.

If you have never asked Jesus to come into your life and be your Master, it may be difficult to understand why Christians can feel their minds at rest about the future even though they still encounter daily problems. It doesn’t mean you won’t have trouble and hard times in your life or that everyone will be easy to get along with. The peace is knowing that whatever happens in life cannot change the fact that you will be in heaven forever with Jesus. You already know the happy ending your life story will have!
Ask Jesus to show you how to experience His ultimate peace in your life. As you begin to recognize His constant presence in you and with you, you will feel surrounded by His peace.
